This is a photogrammetric reconstruction of a detailed snow pit. It used 67 images, reconstructed with Agisoft Metashape standard. Annotations are added in Inkscape. Text codes for each layer are from international standards for describing snow on the ground (Fierz et al, 2009).

The snowpit was made at approximately 82 degrees north on drifting pack ice, as part of the Norwegian research project Arven etter Nansen (Nansen Legacy): https://arvenetternansen.com/
